My Testimony about "The dog"
This is a true story from my autobiography “Rescued and Redeemed by Grace”

Melissa Corbin

One evening I decided to take the kids for a walk around the neighborhood, within ten minutes of our walk I looked down the end of the road, and saw a dog sniffing around. It was very easy to detect a homeless dog that lived on the streets which unfortunately was very common in Barbados.

For some reason I picked up danger and knew this dog was trouble, and so true when this dog saw us in the distance he growled and gnarled his teeth, then started running towards us at what seemed like a tremendous speed. I knew there was absolutely no way we had time to run and escape, time was not on our side in this situation.

Great panic arose within me because of my children being so venerable at their tender age, depending on me to protect them which I would move heaven and earth to do so.

Suddenly the fear died as I quickly remembered the authority I have In Jesus name, and if I can move a mountain the bible says, I can stop this attack.
I moved Paige behind me, picked up little Adon onto my left hip as I turned my body to put myself between Adon and the approaching dog.

I stretched out my right arm and pointed at the dog and said out loud, “In the name of Jesus, not one tooth with touch us!”

Immediately the dog came to a stop which was only a couple of feet away and started running around in circles, as he seemed to be in absolute confusion, then took off in another direction no longer to be seen.

It all happened so fast leaving my heart beating out of my chest. Adon was too young to understand what just happened but Paige was amazed. I love how my kids have experienced these moments with me, as they are learning about Jesus’ intense love for us, and the great authority we carry in His name. We don’t have to live in fear!
