The Room called "Heart's Desires"

Melissa Corbin

How I love to worship. We were created to worship and have
fellowship with our sovereign loving God. As I was worshipping
in my media room, I went into a vision and saw an incredibly high golden ladder that went from my carpet up through the roof of my home. I saw many angels going up and down on each side, which reminded me of Jacob’s ladder.

I started ascending this ladder, which took quite some time to get to the top. I remember looking down and seeing myself in a ball on the carpet in my media room. As I reached the top of the ladder, which looked like a dense blanket of clouds, there was a bright opening lined with gold trimmings, and there was Jesus, standing and waiting for me.

Jesus and I started walking and holding hands while I looked
around at the beauty of the simplicity of clouds as far as my eye
could see. There seemed to be gold shimmers like glitter hovering above the clouds we were walking on.

I said in awe, ‘Jesus, this is so beautiful’.
He replied without hesitance, ‘Yes it is, and so are you’.

I immediately smiled at His sweet reply and turned my head to my right to look at Him. When I looked forward to see where I was walking, suddenly a white door trimmed with gold was in front of us, though it hadn’t been there before.

Jesus opened the door and we walked in. The room was completely white on the ceiling, walls and even the floor. The multiple shelves against the walls were also white, and they stretched out as far as I could see. The room appeared to be endless. These shelves had beautiful gold boxes with people’s names engraved on them.

Jesus went to the shelf, picked up a box, brought it to me in the center of the room and placed it on a white pillar table. I looked down and saw writing, beautifully engraved on the lid, saying: ‘Melissa’s Heart Desires’.
He looked at me with a warm smile and said, ‘Open it’.

Thrilled that I was about to open a present from Jesus, I proceeded to remove the lid and quickly noticed to my shock that it was empty. I was perplexed and said, ‘Lord, it’s empty’. As if He didn’t know.

He smiled even wider and replied, ‘Melissa, tell Me your heart’s
desires and watch’.

Even more curious now, I stated my first request with tears welling up in my eyes. As I spoke, I literally saw each letter forming the sentence in gold, hovering above the box at my eye level. As I finished the last word from my mouth, stating the request, I then saw the entire sentence fall into the box.

I saw what seemed to be gold dust rising out of the box, like if you threw a heavy rock down on a huge pile of dust and it would cause the effect of that dust to rise up, then slowly settle back down.

Jesus said, ‘Continue’.
One of my requests was, ‘I would like my eye back that the enemy stole from me’.

As I said that, He laughed lovingly and said, ‘Of course, I was
expecting that’. I could see the joy on His face when I requested
that miracle.

Another one of my requests was, ‘To fulfil the destiny You have
called me to accomplish in my life’.

I listed nine of them, and as I finished, He closed the box and
gave it to an angel who placed it back on the shelf so carefully and gently. This indicated to me how precious and valuable my requests were to Him. Jesus led me back to the opening in the cloud.

I descended the ladder, seeing myself in the same position on the carpet. As I was going down, I remember the angels on each side of the ladder staring at me and smiling.

He had a dream in which he saw a stairway
resting on the earth, with its top reaching to heaven,
and the angels of God were ascending and descending on it.

Isn’t it amazing that what matters to us, also matters so much to Him! He is able to bring to pass our desires and dreams, according to His will. Remember, His will is always what’s best for us; we must trust Him in that. We can all make our requests to the One who cares the most, the One who has the power to give us a life of abundance and give us this life in all its fullness.

Don’t kids sometimes run to their parents and give them a wish
list for their birthday or for Christmas? A list with all their desires placed on the fridge with a magnet so we would always see them and not forget? My kids sure have. So why wouldn’t our Heavenly Father want the same for us? He loves it when we tell Him our desires and our needs. Remember, He is a personal Father, a personal God.

Make your requests to Him now! He’s listening, He cares and He places them carefully in your heart’s desires box.
This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.
